Dr Vasanthi Thevarajah

Dr. Vasanthi or “Dr. V” as she is lovingly addressed has worked in the Australian medical field for more than 19 years. She started her journey in Australia working out bush for 4 years before moving to the “Big Smoke” – Perth.

Armed with an Anaesthesia background and a specialisation in general practice, Dr V endeavours to provide you and your family with continuity of care.

Dr Vasanthi loves to travel, enjoys family time and loves music especially R&B and the 80s.

Dr Sumithra Ratnayake

Dr Sumithra Ratnayake (Dr Sumi) is an experienced general practitioner. Since moving to Perth she is thoroughly enjoying her continuing her career as a GP. Dr Sumi is specially trained in Family Health and Women's Health.

Her additional interests include Mental Health and Chronic Disease Management. In her spare time, she loves reading, sewing and spending time with the family and her pet dog.

Dr Lakshmi Balakrishnan

Dr Lakshmi Balakrishnan has over 26 years experience as a General Practitioner. She moved to Australia over 19 years ago where she continued to practice as a GP.

Dr Lakshmi has a keen interest in preventative medicine, chronic disease management, skin cancer checks and Family Health. She does Mirena removals, as well as implanon insertion and removal. Minor surgery, Healthy Heart Checks.

When not in the clinic with us Dr Lakshmi enjoys travelling and cooking.

Dr Vasanth Govindappa

Dr Vasanth Govindappa moved here to Perth WA in 2012 with his wife and two young boys from Glasgow, Scotland. Having worked and trained there for 12 years they decided that the sunny skies of Perth would make for a great place to settle down and raise the boys.

Dr G (as he has been nicknamed by patients and staff alike) has worked in medical centres across Perth and has chosen Nedlands as a place he would like to consider home.

He is interested in providing holistic care and looks after many families, from young children to elderly providing care each individual needs.

Dr G has a keen interest in treatment for unresolved chronic conditions.

Dr G has been working in Skin Cancer medicine and has done skin procedures for the past 12 years, he studied skin cancer treatment in Glasgow, this study has been at work since arriving in Western Australia. In addition to routine GP clinic he offers skin cancer diagnosis and surgery at our practice.

For patients who are interested in wrinkle relaxing injections these, including dermal fillers are offered and quoted on a case by case basis. He also provides care for chronic health issues like diabetes, osteoporosis, chronic heart disease and COPD along with weight management and mental health.

When he gets time away from the surgery he enjoys cycling, cricket and spending quality time with his family
