Information for Patients

Other Fees

Medical consumables used as part of your treatment may attract a separate fee between $10 to $40. Procedural fees will vary according to the type and complexity – please enquire prior to your consultation.

After Hours Medical Care

If you need care outside our normal hours, our trusted partner WADMS can help with home visits ensuring you’re supported around the clock. To arrange after-hours care, call WADMS directly on (08) 9321 9133.

Cancellations and Not attending the clinic / Not answering the Telehealth call

We understand that emergencies happen however we have a minimum 2-hour window to cancel or reschedule the appointment.

If you are unable to do so, Non-Attendance fee for Standard Consult/ Telehealth is $40 and Long Consult and Weekend will be $80.

We will be calling from no caller ID for Telehealth calls, and you are required to keep your phone with you.

Drugs of addiction and Pain medication

We do not prescribe drugs of addiction and pain medication unless we establish a need and obtaining prior medical history. We do not refund fees in the event of not been able to fulfil your requests for medication.

Cancellations and DNA

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and we strive to accommodate our patients as best as possible. To ensure fairness and efficiency in managing our schedule, we kindly request that any cancellations or rescheduling of appointments be made at least two hours prior to the scheduled time. This allows us to offer the appointment slot to another patient in need of care.Please note that a DNA (Did Not Attend) Fee may be charged to you for not cancelling and not attending your appointment. All our fees are charged at the same fee your appointment that you missed would have been.

Drugs of addiction and Pain medication

We do not prescribe drugs of addiction or pain medication unless a clinical need is evident, a thorough medical history is obtained, and a patient-doctor relationship has been formally established. Please note fees are non-refundable if we are unable to fulfil your request for medication.

Appointment Types and Billing arrangements

We offer various appointments to help our practice run efficiently and to ensure there are less delays for our patients, if you know that you have more than 2 things to discuss with your GP then book a longer appointment, Mental Health Plans and consults you will always require a long appointment. When booking online the type of consult you choose will already have a suitable time allocated to it, we offer face to face consults as well as telephone consults, you can book these online via our website or over the phone with someone from our reception team.Our appointments are billed on time and complexity and our doctorAs we are a private billing practice; we require full payment on the day, for a more in-depth explanation of our fees please check our website for our billing policy. After Hours Home Visits and Emergency


If you are requesting a home visit then you will need a telephone consult with doctor before a decision is made. The clinic has engaged the services of Dial a Doctor to provide a locum service for the after-hours medical care of our patients.Dial-a-Doctor can be contacted on1300 030 030.Outside of the clinic’s normal hours of operation, in cases of medical emergency, patients can seek assistance from:

Communication with Doctors

Our practice aims to avoid delays, maintain confidentiality and to limit interruptions to the doctors whilst they are consulting. All patients are required to make an appointment. For your convenience we can offer telephone consultations along with our face-to-face appointments.Email is not our preferred method of communication as your privacy and confidentiality may be compromised. We also cannot guarantee any delays that may occur via this method. It is our recommendation that you never email us in an emergency.

Recall & Reminder System

Our practice participates in national and state reminders systems or registers. Relevant information is given to enable automatic reminders to be issued to you for important preventative health checks e.g., Cervical, bowel, breast screening and prostate checks. Recalls & reminders can come in the form of a text message, phone call or letters in the mail.

Management of your personal health information

Keeping in line with the National Privacy principles, your medical records are maintained as a confidential document. It is the policy of the practice to always maintain security of personal health information.You are welcome to move your medical records to another medical center at any time, please note that the center does charge a fee and this request is actioned within a timely manner as per our policy. Please speak to one of the reception team for more information.

Our practice acknowledges that patient feedback is an important source of information. Patient satisfaction is key.We have a form for you should you wish to leave any suggestions, compliments or even complaints, please ask reception if you would like to fill one out. Do you accept walk-in patients?

Yes where possible we’ll do our best to accommodate walk-ins, but we recommend booking ahead to secure your preferred time.

Can I book online?

Absolutely. You can book 24/7 using our simple online booking system, or call our team during opening hours.

Do you bulk bill?

Our centre is a private billing practice. However, children under 16, DVA, and pension card holders over 65 may be bulk billed with participating doctors please confirm with reception.

What happens if I need after-hours care?

We partner with Dial a Doctor for after-hours home visits. If you require urgent care outside our opening hours, please call Dial a Doctor directly.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Please bring your valid Medicare card and any relevant medical information or referral letters if needed.
